Operation Walk Denver values donations, not only in cash or in-kind, but also people who want to get involved. There are many ways to give of your time and talent:

Annual Walk of Dreams

• Attend as a guest
• Invite people you know who would love to support the work of Operation Walk.
• Give of your time by volunteering at the event to help things run smoothly behind the scenes
• Become an event committee member:
• • Perhaps your organization or an organization you do business with would like to be a corporate sponsor at the event.
  • Maybe your organization or one you know can donate a valued live auction item for the event.

Application process

Completed applications are reviewed by committee. The information requested includes a volunteer’s medical background, duties and responsibilities, as well as language skills (bilingual skills are a plus). Needs, skills, work ethic, etc. are assessed and, of course, only qualified, hard working, reputable healthcare providers are chosen. Licensure is verified and any disciplinary action taken by the state licensing board is reviewed.

Please note that of all the categories, the largest surplus of volunteers is in the physical and occupational therapist field. In most countries, only two or three physical therapists are needed. Because trip expenses are kept to a minimum, it is not possible to take an unlimited number of people on a trip.

Please keep in mind that completing an application does not guarantee participation on a trip.
